I have learned photography using digital equipment. While digital has various advantages against film, there still is something about film that people just love and can't let go. For instance, today's trend in photography is mimicking retro and vintage look of film on photos that were shot by digital cameras.
There is something about film that digital can't have. I yet do not know what that is. As a person who have learned only through digital, I can't seem to see it yet. However, I'm about to find out. I'm going back, to when pictures were just pictures, when photography wasn't complicated with all these endless technological issues, when photos were tangible goods, when photos became permanent as the shutter was released. I'm going back to the basic.
