It was an ordinary Sunday for me, just a cup of coffee with a fellow photographer, Jamison Moon at a cafe. We were just enjoying the nicest weather of August yet, feeling the breeze and sipping cold iced coffee, while talking about life in general. We've talked for a good few hours, then it was time to eat. After a quick bite, we were like, "so what next?" It was still too early to go home and end this day, so we've decided to have a little ride down to Jones Beach. Jamison took me to his "secret place" in Jones Beach.
Fortunately I've brought my Canon A1 to take some pictures, however didn't bring any extra roll, so by the time of sunset, I've ran out of film. But you know what they say, the best camera is the one that's with you. And to me, it was my iPhone.
I couldn't happier with the result, and I truly think this shot was only possible, because I've used my iPhone. I usually don't take panoramic pictures with a DSLR, because it requires a tripod, which I usually don't bring with me and also sometime in Photoshop to stitch those shots together. However, using iPhone, all I gotta do is press and pan. Of course, the quality isn't the same, but hey, it's better getting the shot than not getting it at all right?
I sincerely thank Jamision for sharing his "secret place" with me. Today was awesome.
